VINTAGE AIRCRAFT BOOSTERS CLUB
"Aztecs in the Philippines II" was held at the Northrop Grumman Recreations Club. We were invated by Fred Campos (Club Commisioner) to present our material, to the members of the Vintage Aircraft Booster Club, Wednesday May 31, 2000. With an audience of over thirty members the presentation began sharply at 5:00PM.
"Aztecas en Las Filipinas II" se llevo a acabo en el Club de Recreaciones Northrop Grumman. Fuimos invitados por medio del Senor Fred Campos, quien es el Comisionado del Club, para presentar nuestro material a los miembros del Club de Re-enforzamiento de Aeroplanos Antiguos, creo que asi se traduce. El Miercoles Mayo 31 del 2000. con una audiencia de mas de treinta miembros la presentacion comenzo justo a las cinco de la tarde.
Once
more I had the oportunity to begin the event with a brief
intoduction of the History of the Mexican Expeditionary Air Force
201st Fighter Squadron, and its participation in WWII. This time
being thst Memorial day had just past, we dedicated our funtion
to the Seven members of the 201st Squadron, who died in WWII.
Una vez mas tuve la oportunidad de dar comienzo al evento con una corta introduccion en la Historia de la Fuerza Aerea Expedicionaria Mexicana Escuadron 201, y su participacion en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Esta vez, y siendo que el Dia de Memorar acababa de pasar, dedicamos esta funcion a los siete pilotos Mexicanos del Escuadron 201que murieron durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
The program included the presentation of a video, after the video Mr. Hoyo highlighted the video by showing and explaning few of the pictures in his colection, explaining several aspects of the aircraft and pilots who were part of the 201st Fighter Squadron.
El programa incluyo la presentacion de un video, al terminar Mr. Hoyo extendio el video al ensenar y explicar algunas de las fotografias de su coleccion, explicando los aspectos de los aeroplanos y sus pilotos que fueron parte del Escuadron de Pelea 201.
Mr. Hoyo answered several questions from the audience, after the presentation of the pictures, here he is listening to one of them.
El Sr. Hoyo respondio a muchas de la spreguntas de la audiencia, despues de la presentacion fotografica, aqui lo tenemos escuchando una de ellas
Here
we have some of the aircraft, which at some point was used by the
201st. Squadron. Pre- post and during the second WWII. Every
single one was put together by Mr. Hoyo who is an avid modeler.
Aqui tenemos algunos de los aeroplanos, que en algun momento fueron usados por el Escuadron 201. Antes, durante y despues de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Cada uno fue armado por el Senor Hoyo que es un modelista muy habil.
